Why use Deer Organs?

In natural habitats animals eat organs, meat, bone and skin in that order. Organ meats are more densely packed with just about every nutrient, including heavy doses of B vitamins such as: B1, B2, B6, folic acid and vitamin B12.

Organ meats are also laden with minerals like phosphorus, iron, copper, magnesium and iodine, and provide the important fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Animals that consume food provided in nature such as grass, leaves, and natural plants contain even higher levels of these essential nutrients than their grain-fed counterparts.

The high nutritional content is one of the reasons animals eat the organs before tearing into other food sources. A rounded pet diet will contain 10 to 15% organ meat.

Organ meat includes the Liver, Kidney, Spleen, Lungs and the Pancreas. Many of these food sources are impossible to get, unless you hunt or own a farm. I have been able to provide my own pets with organ meat during hunting season. Every pet we have had has loved the freshly killed organ meat. We also found our pets were healthier, had more energy, grew sleeker coats and had less eye stains during the hunting season. We began asking other hunting friends and farmers to give us the organs they were discarding to provide year round heath to our animals.

The combined idea of having healthy food and reducing food waste was very appealing – and from that place Raw Pet Products was born.

We maintain a network of Illinois Deer Hunters who voluntarily collect the organs from their harvested deer. We then process this high quality food source into a Pet Food Supplement for pet owners who want to feed their pets the most nutritious and mineral rich pet food anywhere.

Why waste so much nourishment when it can so easily go to good use?

There are many resources available that confirm the high nutrition value and other health benefits of animal organs, specifically deer organs. Some websites will warn about parasites and other potentially harmful conditions in these animals, however, that can be said of most all food. With proper preservation and treatment, deer organs can be safely and easily used to supplement our current pet foods.

What are the ingredients in this product?

We use a combination of Hearts, Livers, Kidneys, Pancreas’ and Spleens from freshly killed Illinois deer from Illinois Deer Hunting Outfitters.

 

Is this product tested for safeness?
